11:38 am - Iran......
Yikes..... I keep following the news on Iran... I wonder what I would do if I thought our election process was scandalized as much as it has reportedly been in Iran. And truly, I wonder how far away from such chaos our own country is! I realize that both parties aren't 'good' for American interests.... but I feel the same way about the two prominent parties here! I hope they find justice, and peace, and lets hope no more beautiful young woman get shot in the chest only to die on camera with blood pooring from their mouth & nose!!!!

(I find CNN has fairly poor coverage online, so have been reading NYtimes, as well as other websites. I like:
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/06/13/iran-demonstrations-viole_n_215189.html
which is associated with the huffington post somehow.... )

ps.. Is it me, or has CNN becomes very bland in their coverage of stuff..... I no longer see them as the daring media outlet focused on giving fair/balanced/legitimate coverage....

02:55 pm - A positive contribution from the Bush Administration:
"While the Lebanese deserve 95 percent of the credit for this election, 5 percent goes to two U.S. presidents. As more than one Lebanese whispered to me: Without George Bush standing up to the Syrians in 2005 — and forcing them to get out of Lebanon after the Hariri killing — this free election would not have happened. Mr. Bush helped create the space. Power matters. Mr. Obama helped stir the hope. Words also matter."

While I disagree with many of the Bush administration's actions, I think this one quote from a NY times article will stick with me.... Some of the good things people accomplish are too easily forgotten and buried under their perceived faults!

I remember hearing we wouldn't have a black president until pigs could fly.......

Is it any coincidence then, 100 days after Obama takes office: Swine Flu?

12:51 pm - NorCal AIDS Challenge
So I agreed to crew on the Northern California AIDS challenge bike ride..... (Cute woman enticed me....)

To crew, I have to pledge to raise $250 towards the fund raisers..... luckily, they gave me a personal web page for friends and family to donate. As such, if any of you wish to help me make my pledge, and donate to a good cause (like me hanging out with a bunch of cute chicks giving water and food to bicyclists... uhm... I mean help donate to AIDS service providers in Northern California), here's the link:

Please Donate
